Question Air pump question....

OK, I plan on getting a Bonez racepipe for my car, so I'll be removing the cats. I know that I will be able to remove the air pump also. I ALSO know that I will need to get the RB dual sheave alt. pulley and get two stock sized belts. My question is do I just take the air pump off and I'll be good to go? Will there be anything to plug up? Thanks people.

Since the cats and air pump are gone, the Air Control Valve on the side of the intake manifold is now totally useless and can be removed. You'll need a block-off plate, which can be made from a scrap piece of 3-5mm aluminium or bought from Mazdatrix. Just pull off the three vacuum lines and one electrical plug, undo the three nuts and pull the ACV off. Remove the three studs and use shorter bolts to install the block-off plate with a little high-temp sealant or a stock ACV gasket. Cap the three vac lines with rubber caps and you're done.
