air pump question

ok i putting on a new magnaflow cat, the air inlet on it doesnt have the adapter piece that will bolt on to the stock pipe, so can i use some fuel line or hose to connect the two and clamp them together? figured air was going through thre plus i would only have a small piece it should hold up .

but wnated to make sure before i did it if not ill try and weld it.

Hose would be fine. In fact, the Bonez high flow cat doesn't have the tube with the factory fitting attached. They supply a short piece of hose to use.
