hey guys, I think my air pump is dead.
It sounds like a chainsaw when I rev up the car.
It should sound smooth shouldn't it?

Besides from the noise, it's not actuating the VDI and 6ports.
The VDI and 6ports are working fine because they can be moved by hand and if I put pressure into the lines through the solenoid rack with a hand pump, they will move.

Give the above symptoms, you think my air pump is dead?
If so, what is my best option? Get a pump off a junk car or get a NEW one?
I can't scrap it since I WANT working ports and will need to do emissions.

Dave at Mazdee's said to me my Air pump Is dead. It would rotate and all but It sounded like It was farting air out. I replaced It (for free) and all noise gone.

I have/am since opted to go with an electric 12v air pump. I just won It on e-bay. I'll post my results soon. Also my air pump too wasn't opening my auxilliary ports.
