air pump belt replacement

Somehow, the new belt is a bit longer than the old belt. I can put it on without loosening the tensioning bolt. But how do you guys get to the tensioning bolt below the air pump. I could reach it with my hands, but I could not loosen the bolt.

Another question is, I broke the AC belt accidentally. But I don't think I ever needed the air-con. Could I just leave the AC pulley with no belt?

Just use a ratchet with possibly a short extender and perhaps a pipe over the ratchet handle to help with the leverage needed to loosen the bolt.

It's just so hard to reach with the fan and the pump pulley blocking my way. I was wondering if someone knew a better way to do it...
