Air pump & ACV removal

Is there anything I have to do besides make some block off plates and cap any freed vac lines off? I have a 87 turbo II. Thanks.

The only additional thing I used was Silicone RTV Sealant for the Block Off Plates. Fini!

A single exhaust on a turbo? meh Already getting a new downpipe (just a cheapy from a local exhaust shop until I can get a 3in turbo back from racing beat).

The only additional thing I used was Silicone RTV Sealant for the Block Off Plates.
Got some of that already. Ive actually got two tubes, one is red & one is blue

Questions: 1) There is a hose where the air pump gets its air coming from the intake (I guess), what did you guys use to seal up that nipple on the intake box? Going to home depot tomorrow to see if they carry some sort of rubber end caps..

More to come later. I decided to do this at midnight, got lazy after I got the air pump off. Ill get to the ACV tomorrow

You might be able to get a big rubber cap from where you get the vac caps, otherwise just wrap it tight with insulation tape. An even better solution would be to get rid of the restrictive airbox and replace it with a pod filter, cold air feed and heat shield. ;D
The pressure sensor vac line normally comes off the ACV, so when you remove ti you'll need to get a little plastic tee so you can tee the pressure sensor line into the BOV line.
This might help; air pump and ACV removal on my 88 Turbo.

Yeah I couldnt find any 13/16in end caps lol. The retard @ auto parts was arguing with me that our air pumps have metal lines, not rubber and that I should just bend the one on there to "cap" it. Idiot Then he was like "well just take this 3/4in metal bolt (when the inner diameter of the hole is about 1/2in) and screw it in". I tried explaining the air box is plastic and that could crack, but apparently those are metallic too

Biggest I could get was 3/4in cap so I just lubed that up a little bit and made it fit (it was rubber so.. it stretched).

Same place as the caps. Any auto parts store should have one, just take the hose along to get the right size.
