wat does the air pump do? a dual belt pulley is made to eliminate the air pump, wats the purpose it? thanks

 

Hummmm..... learn to use the search button at the top right of your screen. This has been covered countless times.

 

when you type things like "search for it" you might as well have told them. It brings air to the exhaust to burn off excess gases, emission purposes only.

 

air pump flows air to your cats when you are cruising in 5th gear to get the best A/F ratio. If you get rid of your airpump you will probably want a dual alternator pulley so that the belt on the alternator wont slip. You also need the airpump for emissions. check your PM by the way if you havent about the car.
