the air pump is on the passenger side of the engine, under the intake tube. If you have the stock air box there is a rubber hose going from it to the pump.
The air pump pumps air into the cat, among some other things. The car may not run right if you don't reconnect it.

The air pump is on the front of the engine/left. its a big hunk of metal that the belt turns to pump air into the thermal reactor or the first part of your exhast. this process is for burning the fuel more compleetly. Hopefully this helped you? P.S. on stock exhaust it is pretty important to have the air pump working, but i am takeing mine off with a streight threw exhaust, for weight saving, and less labor on the motor.

what can u do to these engines with out using nos or turbo to make them fly
i mean i drove a 03 vette 6 speed manual a couple of days ago and this 7 seems to me its just as fast
i dont drive this car as my daily driver it just sits in my friends back yard until a radiator sealer decides to work or i get a rebuild

Porting is probobly the biggest thing that people do to their rotarys. This requires a profecional though. Rotarys love, absolutly love oxygen, intake and exhaust are a must, right off the bat. the rest is little stuff, weight reduction, freeing up power. oh yea, and playing with the timeing, but that is tricky...
