Air pipe falling off?!

So I was coming home about 2 and a half hours ago and I heard this weird thunk-thunk-thunk sound followed by a dragging noise. I said "What the hell is that?!" and pulled over. Looking under my car I notice the air pipe that goes to the cat just dragging on the ground. Know why? Because the flange on the cat FELL OFF! I just finished removing the entire exhaust (to get the flange welded back on tomarrow) except for the mufflers and dp because the retard that owned the car before me welded the y-pipe onto the cat section. I hate him/her so much. Anyways, has this ever happened to anyone else? The actual flange on the cat breaking off right at the cat? It never snows here and the car came from San Diego so its rust-free and then this **** happens. Sigh, I also finished painting my new wheels today, I'll post a write-up later, like tomarrow-ish.

Looks like time for a new cat. Heat and time will cause deterioration though.
