air intake temp sensor

what effect does the sensor have on the t2, what does it do to the ecu.

The intake air thermosensor sends a signal to the ECU. By telling the ECU the intake temp, the ECU can compensate for different air densities at different temps, which in turn will cause more or less fuel to be delievered to the engine.

FYI, if it fails, the signal is fixed at 20 C, 68 F for the one on the AFM, and 80 C, 176 F for the one on the engine.
