Hmmmm I have the autometer aif fuel gauge and Im using my stock 02 sensor. You should have three wires coming off the gauge. A black red and purple I believe. The black wire is the ground, red is the power source, and purple you splice into the o2 sensor wire near the ecu which is grey (but really looks black).

thanks

when i contacted autometer this is what they said:
(Sir,
If the sensor has a single wire, you will need to add the new 3 wire heated sensor we offer, model number 2244 for the gauge to work.

i went to their website and looked at the part and it was an o2 senor, but now it clicked the gauge wont work until the car get warm.

thank you for you reply
i can see clearly now!

1. Do a search on "air fuel gauge"

2. Many, many people are running them. They work fine connected to the stock O2 sensor if the sensor is in good shape.

the only diff is the gauge will not be right for the first 5 mins or so. you shouldn´t need to know your A/F in the first 5 mins of driving since you are only at 25% throttle and under 3000rpm anyways..... or should be..

I've got an Autometer gauge with a 1 wire Bosch O2 sensor. Hook the purple wire up to the correct O2 wire going into the of the ECU (solder onto the wire in the passenger compartment). Hook red up to a power source, the black up to a ground source. The cigarette lighter is where I taped into power and ground.

I prefer to tap directly Into the ECU , rather than disturbing the copper shielded wire that plugs Into the O2 Sensor.

I followed this diagram. For power, tap Into the very far, top plug on the left side. Fini.

Oh, for clean sake keeping, not to mention fast Installation, I used 3 way connectors. Sorry sold seperately.
