Air filter upgrade

Question fellas.

I want to install a K&N filter. Does anybody have at hand the diameter for the meter.

Does anybody knows exactly what K&N to fit instead of the stock filter??

Does anybody recommends something other than K&N?

91' non turbo.

The K&N part I used on my 89NA is #KNN-RX-4950. You will have to make bracket to support the MAS and should also make a shield around it to keep some of the heat away.

3".

I got an ebay intake, and it seems to be of pretty good quality. Others with ebay intakes haven't turned out so well, though. I got lucky.

Many of the kits on Ebay are for the S4 they have a square plate that bolts to the AFM. This won't work on yours.

Be sure to check the laws in your area. If you don't have emissions testing and/or equipment inspections, you can probably change out the factory airbox for an open element.

If your area won't allow this, K&N makes a drop in filter that flows almost as well as the cone type filters.
