K&N and APEXi are the best you can buy. APEXi is better than K&N for filtering too. But K&N is more affordable

Agreed. Can't beat the 1,000,000 mile warranty of K&N.

I like the apexi filter but how is the air flow? , and im thinking of getting a head light vent for more air. the filter i got on there came with the car and i want a good filter. ill prolly go with the apexi filter can u install it on a 86 GXL N/A the website application chart say 89-91 only.
I have an MAF with a 3in air meter adapter will it install directly or will I need a new adapter?

The apexi filter out the most dirt of any respectable brand that I have seen tested, and it also flows better than the K&N. And I have never seen them sold for the S4 models, but I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to customize it on there.

You don't, from what I have read they really don'e need cleaned, but I'm sure you either clean it with soapy warm water, or with a petrolium product (like gas). Most likely soapy water, but I would check out there site.

If you do get a headlight vent, make sure you cut out some of the metal bracket behind the headlight, otherwise it's largely cosmetic. The airflow won't even get to the filter otherwise.

is your car a turbo? If so, defnitely go Apexi. What's ~$50 extra in the long run for engine health?
My MR2 had a K&N drop in filter when I bought it, and when I brought the turbo in to be rebuilt they said it looked like the filter sucked. There were no holes and it was oiled, it just didn't filter very well.
Intakes do jack **** anyway, so I'll just stick with an OEM filter. If you really want an intake though, go Apexi for sure.
