air control valve, do I need it.

If i remove the ACV and put a block off plate will my car still idle. Right now my ACV is bad so my car doesn't idle the way it is so I'm debating whether i should block it off or replace it.

you need it working to pass emmsions. blocking it off won't effect driving. mines off.
