i was reading up on the ABV and is said it was just to reduce noise from the turbo on decel. so i was thinking if it wise to remove this.

no.

You need it so you dont screw up your turbo. If you want to remove it, then replace it with a blow off valve.

88T2 is right except one thing. On a car equipped with a mass air flow the bypass re routes the air because its already metered or measured by the MAF sensor. Youll notice and turbo engine with a MAF uses a bypass valve instead of a blow off valve. If you remove the bypass and just install a blow off with a MAF and stock ECU youll create problems. In order the use a blow off valve the best route to go would be to remove the MAF and bypass and install a MAP sensor and blow off valve and a tuneable ECU or EMS. Speed costs money...how fast can you afford to go??

is that a retorical question . More like ill drop 1- 2 grand for mods after truck sells. I actually though that was messing with my pressure sensor since i 'T'ed it to the dynamic chamber (I was getting mean Rear rotor fuel cuts).

Only "problem" youll run into would be running a lil rich.

Where was i wrong?

Ive been running a bov with a AFM and have had no problems at all, as well as many other members on the board.

It only runs rich when you "blow off" because the ECU thinks it's getting air that it really isnt. Most cars that have this problem puff out black smoke during shifts.

Not a good idea. You'll find that when you are boosting and let off the gas pedal, you'll hear a clank, clank from the afm. That's the flap slamming shut and bouncing off its stop. It does more harm to the turbo though. The clanking is a symptom.
