I've only messed with 86-87. They are different on those models. The diff is that the turbo has an adjustment screw in a boss and the n/a does not. I see no reason I could not put the turbo on the n/a. That would give me an additional air screw to play with, but to put the n/a on the turbo would take away the air screw. Not favorable.

They have different part nos(for 87N/A-N327-13-720A and for TII-N332-13-720).I have never examined them closely so I can't say for sure.May be just a different mount or orientation of pipes or something simple.

PS-you did mean the Air By-pass Solenoid Valve and NOT the By-Pass Air Control Valve.(I think Hailers was talking about BAC valves)

Six Rotors.....Yup. I did it again. I was refering to the bac. Sorry about the confusion I might have caused. I'll type solenoid a hundred times and learn how to comprehend what I read instead of reading into the post what I want it to read. Air bypass solenoid. Wake up HAILERS! When I get home I'll compare the two air bypass solenoids and let you know if you still need an answer.EDIT...Just looking in the manual for a 88, one diff is the resistance. The turbo should be 16.2-19.8 and the N/A is 9.2-11.3

Is that resistance affected by heat? Should I warm the car first?

Just took the one of the N/A and held it up against the turbo. Same dimensions by eye. The mount brackets are different. If I needed one for either car I'd accept the solenoid off either car. I'd say go for it. Either one. The solenoid comes out of the mounting bkt, so you can put it on the bkt that fits the car. The resistance difference? I'd use it, but for a better answer ask Icemark, Irv or Six Rotors. Ok? P.S. I would not give more than ten bucks for one.

I was in the middle of swapping them and noticed they are the same thing physically, so I ohmed them out and one was 17 the other 19ohms, not worth thinking about. They are the same animal, yes indeed. Gotta get back to painting the garage and fence.
