MI Ah, tomorrow shall be fun!

Tomorrow is emissions removal and engine cleaning day. The temperature during the day is going to be a balmy 25 degrees with two inches of snow forcasted. I have my trusty tools, vacuum caps, and sealant. Besides silicon hose, is there anything I should plan for when removing everything from my trust '87 NA? I was originally thinking drop a turbo in it sometime, but I think that will have to wait.

Cheers!

why are you removing emissions again? n/a's actually run better with all that **** hooked up(except the pre-cat).. don't forget the CAI and be sure to point it towards the exhaust manifold.

Instead of removing, why not goto a high-flow cat, leave everything hooked up, and just improve upon what you got? Personally if I had the money I would convert my car BACK TO N/A instead of the Turbo II thats in it now...

I got all mod happy with my first 7 and as I got deeper in (tb mod, yank emissions, etc) the shittier the idle got and she even got slightly twitchy while cruising. Do an airbox, exhaust and consider premixing and then leave the engine ALONE.

Well, today, I actually didn't touch the car, other than to make sure everything is peachy. I built a workshop for the car in the garage complete with bench, storage, and plenty of light. I will consider premix, and I think the next car mod is going to be a 13BT swap..

I don't need a turbo.. I'm more of a luxury driver and prefer natural power over aspirated, and less **** to break..
