aftermarket steering wheel play
So I recently got an OMP steering wheel for my FC to replace my worn out stock wheel and I'm having trouble getting the torque right.
it Seems like if I tighten it enough to get any side to side play out of it, it's too tight to drive around with (hard to turn, doesn't return to center at all). and if i tighten it so that it's nice to drive around with, there is probably 0.5cm of play if I push/pull on opposite ends of the wheel.
has anyone else experienced this? Is anyone else using an OMP hub?

hrm... ok so I just did some more research and apparently when OMP said "RX7" they meant FB... and they don't make one for the FC. Looks like I'll be ordering a MOMO hub...
I've tried two aftermarket hubs (Grant and Momo) and neither fit as well or tightly as the OEM Mazda wheels (or even the OEM Mitsubishi wheel I currently use).
Seems like the non-stock hubs don't have the splines/taper as accurately broached as the stockers.
Didn't find a cure, so I gave up on them.
