aftermarket seats

I am trying to install a set of aftermarket seats i have in my fc. But i need to get the measurement on a set of aftermarket brackets before i order them. Does anyone know the side to side and front to back hole measurements on corbeau or planted brackets.

some of the seat manufacturers(like Bride for example) actually make brackets for the Rx7.
I used Bride brackets on aftermarket generic seats.
You can fab up a plate to set the seat on if you want to retain the stock sliders too,so really it's not that hard to put a seat in,regardless of bracket or no bracket,.
If it fits,You can use whatever bracket to whatever seat.

This is mostly true for the driver side, not at all true of the passenger side.

The seats that i have are hunsakers. They are a bottom bolt design instead of a side bolt style seat. The side to side bolt holes are 5/8 inch closer together than the factory seats so fabing a bracket to adapt the factory sliders to fit the seats are proving to be a problem

Typically, you'd make a scab plate that bolted to the seat base and then accepted the stock sliders at the correct spacing.
This is relatively easy for the (mostly) symmetrical driver side but does nothing for the angled/higher mount found on the inside of the passenger seat.

The passanger side is the one i am running into problems with and is why i am considering aftermarket brackets. But before i ordered a set i wanted to make sure i had the measurments of the bracket so that i could verify that the seats will work with them.

What about sliders? does it come with a set or do i have to find a set of universals. The only set i have seen that come with the sliders is the corbeau brackets

Its just a mounting plate. You provide your own sliders and seat brackets, but you can use any universal sliders/brackets with it.

Like said before any seat with brackets that can be bottom mounted can me installed using the stock rails, I am using my stock rail with a race bucket . However, if the seat is just a tad but taller it could have some clearance issues with the roof
