Anyone recommend a good aftermarket seat that will fit without major issues in an FC? Something with good support.

I'm talking Momo, Sparco, Tenzo, Zero, Recaro. Any other brands you have used and liked?

I have corbeau Forza's. Perfect fit, brackets come with, bolt in, and they hold you firm. I give two thumps up.

 

WHAT?!?!? No Mazdaspeed on the list? Or Bride? I gotta say the Mazdaspeed Sport Seat is one of the sexiest out there, though I don't know anything about the seat as far as comfort and quality goes.

 

Would FD seats fit in a FC?
Have anyone done it?.
I can use a welder, no problem, but what does it take to make it nice?

I have two Momo Corse(Glasfiber) seats in my car, I like them very much! But I had to make some custom brackets, but thats not a problem for a handyman like me

We have access to all seats. Let's figure out your function, autox I assume. Do you need a recliner?

 

Recliner would be perfect. AutoX and weekend car mostly. More suuport than factory seats but still comfortable. I can make brackets if none are specifically made for the FC.

 

looking for a nice street seat...like 3rd gen seats or sparco milano's with the leather...something nice looking to replace the worn looking leather S5 seats....

 

corbeau CR1's maybe? Oh and I have a 40" waist and 56" chest if that makes a difference.

Umm, just so you know..Mazdaspeed seats are MORE than Bride seats..and if you know how much Brides are, you don't want to bother with MS...unless you have the green. And if so, can I be your friend?

that is fine, i took 4 yrs of Japanese while i was in High school back in the day i have a base knowlege of it, although Kanji owns me, but i own hirigana and katakana

*EDIT* My bad, it looks like some of that is in Katakana. Personally i think Katakana characters are easier to distinguish.

 

Don't bother. You won't fit unless you get the fat guy version. I know because I am about the same dimensions as you.

I have the corbeau clubman, it's in my opinion really good for the price. Keeps me in my place, and like someone already said. Corbeau makes specifically for cars.

 

From my personal experience, I'd say Sparco or Momo... I've sat in one, and have driven one with those seats in them. They're really comfy, IMO.

It will require alot of fabrication work to mount 3rd gen seats Into your car. You can't simply swap seat rails. The rail mounting locations on the 3rd gen seats are closer together than that of the 2nd gen seats.

 

if your that big in the girth , take a look at the Forza II it's 2" wider in the body and leg area, I'm 56"-58" jacket with a 34" waist and the Forza I is a very snug fit. Next time I get BRIDE seats though, I bought both my Forza's three years ago and I think the Canadian importer used them to smuggle skunk weed chiba across the border as they reek, still! after three years and 5 bottles of Fabreeze.
