Aftermarket power windows

After the nightmare that insued in trying to fix an '86 Accord's power window that got frozen halfway down about five years ago, I've decided I still want to put electric windows in my car.

What's the best kit for this? motors and controllers? What do you reccomend for a complete aftermarket job?

Don't do aftermarket.

Go to a pic a part wrecking yard. Pull both regulators, door handles (hold out for ones that match your interior) with switch's, and wire harness running from each door into the cabin. The loom is already there for you to plug into. Swaping them out is easy with some simple mechanical reasoning.

Alternatively, ask for these in the Wanted Parts section. Except for maybe the switch's, these are almost never asked for so should be available cheap. And, should fit in a normal size box for shipping.

Put in the appropriate fuse, you're done. And everything "Factory Fit".

Are you sure these things won't lock up, though? I mean, how much of a bitch would it be to convert my manual to automatic with the stock configuration?

If you're really that concerned...

clean up the track runners and put a fresh coating of grease. Then, will be like new.
