Aftermarket oil cooler?

So my oil cooler is all bent and ugly haha and was thinking to go aftermarket oil cooler. The god speed are just 200 with stainless steel lines and all the fittings. Anybody using it on their car or any other aftermarket oil cooler?

The stock oil cooler is actually one of the best parts in the car.

What are the dimensions on the godspeed cooler? Here's what you are looking for, but definetly not on the same budget as the godspeed setup!

I have never been in the automotive parts business, but I am now considering it. If I were selling a really good-looking cheap Chinese oil cooler that has inferior cooling capability when compared to the OEM unit, how much would you pay for it?

for an FC I really don't see many people spending money to upgrade the oil cooler as the stocker seems to be adequate for 98% of applications.

Anyone else having problems with leaky FC oil coolers? Im on my 2nd one in ten years, and have always had a slow leak which progressively gets worse. There has never been a time when there was no oil on the front of my cooler first drive after cleaning it. Its not the fittings, as they are new and there are no other leaks except the end tank of where the fittings are, same as the first one i had. I think its a crack somewhere on the end tank.
Anyways its hard to find a clean one, the last two were a bit banged up, is there an aftermarket option? We're looking at 400+ whp
Also how important is the bypass? Bothe the coolers ive had were gutted. Im thinking if i go a bigger cooler it might be an issue - is tthere a way of running a bypass with an aftermarket cooler? Im thinking that for the price of a new OE one i can have one made up virtually identical as OE except with a couple more rows, but sans bypass. Big dollars though, there must be a better way.

I cracked a bung on one of mine from over-tightening one of the banjo bolts...

I autocross so I decided to get a larger oil cooler with a fan attached:
setrab series 6 34 row:

improved racing thermostat:

improved racing spal fan and setrab fan thermo switch:

all plumbed up:

^ is that an external bypass there? If you dont mind my asking, howmuch does a set up like that set you back?

Anyway, it seems mine is leaking from the 29mm nut that goes over the bypass pill (which it has still, and ive tested it to 65c as per the manual) No visible cracks, i'm thinking to clean thoroughly, resurface the bits where the crush washers go on and reassemble with some RTV? Failing that maybe get it pressure tested and welded or something.

Any ways, the thing is it was hooked up BACKWARDS and iv gone and hooked it back up the same way with expensive new an fittings and braided line.
Im wondering if it is ok to run them backwards or if that goes against the way the pill works?

The car was running no probs with this set up for a long time, no probs except the leaks.

ALSO have a look at what was in the other chamber, WTF? Does this make any sense to anyone??
This is the 2nd cooler iv had and they BOTH had this.
Is this a 1st gen racer thing or something?

The bypass is actually a thermostat, just like a coolant thermostat. it routes the oil into the oil cooler when the oil warms up. So yes, that is an external thermostat

it wasn't cheap to do, but then again the price of fittings to run dual stock oil coolers isn't cheap either....

Oil cooler
Thermostat
Fan kit

Ha! That cooler looks familiar. You can find the Setrab 34 row, series 6 oil coolers for $285 or so if you search around.

I run the same oil cooler, it works very well, and offers more surface area than the factory FC cooler. I use a Mocal external thermostat, basically the same thing as the Improved Racing thermostat.

I have a cleaned, pressure tested FC oil cooler for sale if anyone wants it. PM me.

Here is my current setup.
