Exclamation Aftermarket lighting for an FC3S? Why the F#*% not?

Why the HELL cant I find Nice Carbon fiber tailights for my 86-Rx7? They make nice tailights for sport compacts why not for a real sports car? I hate Savanna tailights even more then the square ones! Anyone feal the same way?

There are no aftermarket lights for the FC RX-7. Most people like the round ones. If you don't like those, you'll need to buy a Honda.

Make your own. There's just about nothing wrong with the round style, almost every 'ricer' likes them, what would you rather have? Alteza's?

So mold your own covers for the stock ones. It's not hard. Though carbon fiber will really look stupid if it's the only thing on the car as such. But since almost nobody has a problem with the lights that are already on the car, there's little to no desire for any others, thus no aftermarket for any. If you want custom, you'll have to make them yourself.

The one thing that I love about FC's were that there was no "altezza" tail light market. Carbon Fiber tail lights, HAH, as Project84 stated, if you want those "cool" carbon fiber altezzas get a honda.

And its "Rotary."

Hey appreciate the kind reply Sonic! I am acctually in the design and concept stages of producing aftermarket taillights for the s4/5 I am just using this post to see what kind of a response I would get! I think rear lighting would make this vehicle look phenomenal! You say there is little to no desire for them so i might just throw this idea out. take care!

There is no such thing as "Savanna" taillights. Savanna-badged FC's had the same lights as every other FC.

But carbon fibre lights? Geez man, that's just lame... Like you said, this is a real sports car, and real sports cars do not need whatever tacky bolt-ons are this weeks "in thing".

Quit ur bitchin and buy a honda if you care SO much about tail lights. THEY'RE TAIL LIGHTS!! Do you see them ever while ur driving? No... do they matter? No... the best tail lights for our cars are the round ones, they're great.

And if you want something "cool" that badly, make ur own. No one is ever going to make them for our gen rx7's, so if you want it badly enough, you'll find a way to make ur own.

To answer your question: Because no one makes them for a 86-91 RX-7. As simple as that.

Nah, it's just an example. You can get an integra or neon or something like that too if you'd like. It's merely because the largest market for things like you've described you've wanted are hondas and integras. What cars have "carbon fiber tail lights" more than those?

Yeah, I tried that too, bought some plastic stuff from home depot and turned my old s4's into some "altezza" Then sold those for about $150. It paid for my round ones, which are regular...

I think that s5 tail lights are sexy. In my opinion there is no need for aftermarket tail lights. I've already seen what people come up with for "altezza" or "carbon fiber" home made tail lights. for the most part i think they all look gross.
just my .2 cents

You just have to bend part of the body in (beind the lights) so that the reverese light can be plugged in. Other than that they fit just like the s4.

do you have any pics of them i like the s5 lights but i would only want to make the cover clear and from looking at my lights it would be hard to make them look good with a clear cover compaired to stock
