Aftermarket Intake

What's a good company to buy from... Apexi? AEM? HKS?

I don't believe any of them actually MAKE a kit for our car. I know one name-brand company makes the mushroom-shaped filter (maybe HKS), but it's a **** kind of filter.
Your best bet is to do the following:
Obtain a cone filter and MAF adapter; install adapter and filter.
Fabricate cold-air box to direct only cold air into box.

It's a waste of time and money on an unmodified non-turbo engine, even if fabricating a "cold air" box. If you want a nice filter, just get the K&N drop-in filter. If you want maximum performance, pay the big bucks for an individual throttle body and manifold kit, and a standalone engine management system (EMS) to run it. Example:
