Aftermarket Gauges?

Any suggestions for water and oil aftermarket gauges for an '88 vert, getting worried about the 17 year old factory ones.

How hard are they to install, can I use the factory senders, do they make any A-pillar pods that would fit?

Thanks.

For cheap and effective, I'd get VDO gauges. The convertibles A-pillar is no different I believe, so an Auto Meter A-pillar gauge pod would fit fine.

You could use the stock sender locations and render the stock gauges useless, but it would be best to just install the senders that come with the gauge and use them in conjunction with the stock stuff. The stock senders would not work with the aftermarket gauge anyway.

Installation is pretty much a breeze. For the water temp sender, I tapped into the hose from the TB to the rear housing with a brass cross, and made sure to ground the fitting. For the oil gauges, I used an FC3S.org oil filter pedestal.
