Which aftermarket clutch to buy???
I have an 87 TurboII with intake, 2.5" downpipe, 3" midpipe, Apex N1 catback, Walbro 255lph fuel pump w/ rewire, and Autometer air/fuel and boost gauges, I have the stock clutch and it is starting to slip very badly. I'm running 10psi at WOT, air/fuel gauge reads rich even under full boost. I'm planning to sell the car soon and I'm not gonna be pushing anymore power out of it, but I obviously can't sell it with a slipping stock clutch. Launching during a race has become nearly impossible since the clutch will slip through every gear, it will even slip a little when downshifting and flooring it from a roll. I was looking at the ACT clutches at www.rx7store.net, and I'm not sure on whether the 6-puck disc or the Upgraded Street Disk with Heavy Duty Pressure Plate would be better for my application. Keep in mind that I want a strong gripping clutch, but I won't be doing any more performance mods to it as long as I have it. Would the Upgraded Street Disk with Heavy Duty Pressure Plate w/ Torque Capacity = 268 Pressure, Increase = 34% be good for my application?? Or should I be looking for a 6-puck with more torque capacity?

6 puck copper ACT/pressure plate. You have to get used to the feel at first but grabs very well at all speeds. Ever try dropping the clutch to 3rd at 70mph and chirping the tires?
It's rough on the drivetrain if you're not careful with it but it's easily driveable. You can't really slip this clutch but after you get used to it, you'll know where the engagement point is. It still grabs like new after 2 years of hard driving.

Go with the street/strip clutch set up by either company. The unsprung puck disk will kill your flywheel. I had used ACT, CM, RB, CF.....the key to a strong clutch is the clamping force.
The puck disk will just **** you off (in more ways then one)
