aftermarket BOV....when is it really needed.

FC3S-pro reccomends a new bov at anything over 12 psi. Well I could see me running up to a bar for at least 1320' at a time when I have the fuel and cooling capacities for it. Am I really going to get bad compressor surge with the stock bov? Or can I keep the stocker until I upgrade to a bigger compressor.

I upgraded mine when I went to over 10psi. I also did mine the same time I put my fmic in because it was necessary. Its always better to be safe though. Why wait, blow your turbo, then get one and a new turbo?

Well I do have a spare turbo

It's just blow off valves are pretty damn expensive, and right now I just can't justify getting one unless I absolutely need it. I'll be on the stock top mount for at least another year....

well... blow off valves are cheaper than buying a new turbo. If you get a used one, it won't be to bad. I bought my Blitz BOV from von for $100.

yum, I love ramen noodles. Live on the noodles!! What I do is just bring food from home or go to safeway and buy microwave food. Beats paying about 15 bucks a day on food.
