after unflooding
after unflooding
ok my car was idling for about 4 to 5 minutes then she just died. I assume that she flooded because i got in to try and start and she wouldn't. she would spin and catch but not start. anyways i pulled the plugs and the trailing were really wet. so i pulled the fuses and turned her over a few times. put the plugs back in and nothing. smae thing she owud just spin and catch but no start. i just got the thing started about a week and a half ago after she ran out of gas. what a pain that was. could i have just got another charge of bad **** from the tank? another question is. how long does it usually take to start a car after unflooding? should i touch the gas at all? just a little help would be great. thanks

DONT TOUCH THE GAS.... what i found best for my car is to disconnect the yellow plug under the steering column and crank it till it starts... that plug disconnects the fuel pump... the car will crank after a while and die off as soon as all the gas in the lines is gone... then plug that back in and crank it up... dont use gas till it catches after it catches use some gas and coax it until it will hold an idle on its own
