and explain to me how the HKS manifold with T4 flange will bolt up to your Hitachi T-18 turbo?

Boost creep will be a problem when you add the huge TID and huge exhaust. Just to let you know... porting the wastegate will not eliminate it all.

What everyone was saying about standalones...dont think that you have to go out and spend 800+ on a standalone ECU, MegaSquirt id like $200 (somewhere around there) and if you know how to solder and follow directions, this is by far the cheapest standalone out there. And not at the expense of quality, either. Its good sh*t

I'd just place the maf in the ic piping biatch! get a safc and tune it from there... a additional fuel injector controller could work also but you dont always have to go stand alone... I have a microtech system in my car fully modded thinking the car wouldnt be that bad on gas... well I was wrong very very very wrong

Is the microtech dual map? I've heard that with dual-map ECU's, you can put it on a 'cruise' map and you'll get decent mileage (compared to the aggressive map at least)

When you port the wastegate to 35mm-40mm like BNR and others do it...generally boost creep is a thing of the past.....

There's a couple Honda's around here that would be a run for me, but for some reason none of them want to race me... They just say "Naahhh man I'm not racing that ****, it's an RX-7!" lol... Then I simply say "The Seven can't lose!!!" and go on about my way...

Oh and FWIW, please don't weld the HT-18 flange to the HKS manifold... If you're gonna do that, just get one of the SSAC stainless manifolds for the stock S4 turbo (assuming you have a S4)...

by "full swap" do you also mean an LSD? That would probably help a lot.

Reliable and fast don't exactly walk hand in hand...especially on an fc. If you are gonna be tuning for speed, get every gauge u can think of and be extra **** on keeping an eye on everything.

You can make around 300 whp, pretty reliably. With the right equipment.

Your Rx7 with a street-port, full exhaust/intake, FMIC, ported WG, 720cc secondaries, FCD, MBC and an SAFC running 10psi (creeping up a bit) will be pretty fast and fun, but don't count on running in the 12's.

To hit 12's you'll have to push into the "second stage" of mods which usually include a larger turbo (whether hybrid or full) and an EMS with tuning. You will be a good run on the street with a lot of those turbo'd Honda's that run in the high-12's with slicks, but don't count on beating them... Also, you should 'walk' stock SRT-4's.

the srt-4 hear are nasty for some reason, i hate them, but they run 12's some how.

around hear srt-4's > evo's. (evos suck too, but they lost more respect when a local evo and srt 4 raced and the srt4 won by about 3 cars)

but you probly speek the truth, im hopeing for low 13's, 12's but im sure i wont make it, you never really do on the first try.
