After regular maintanence, still calipers freeze up?

I've had my car for a little less than 4 years, put 70k+ miles on it, and changed brake fluid at least five times completely. Probably at least two times rebleeding at other times. I just had my passenger side front caliper start hanging up on the rotor. I feel like I did something wrong in having part I specifically tried to properly maintain go bad on me. Is it a fairly common occurance after 15 years that even a maintained brake system will have components fail? Some one tell me it's not just me and my bad luck Sometimes this car just seems to drain the life out of me.
