The turbo units are larger and flow more. And trust me, there that many FC's putting 400 hp through the stock AFM. The MAF from skylines and 300Z's are a common swap on FC's though. All it takes is the MAF, an E-manage, and a map. But the stock AFM isnt reliable or accurate over 300 hp.

Do those AFMs fit on the n/a? I didn't think the turbo afm would work on the n/a

think people...why in the world would venom make an AFM of all pieces specifcally for our cars...do they make anything else for our cars? it's a reman. stock unit and for that you're better off getting one from a junkyard for 20 bux. The capacity of the NA AFM CANNOT be breached with NA bolt on mods, no way. I think a turbo kit would be the only way to go past its limits and at that point the car is wicked fast anyway and you'd better be using a motor w T2 internals for reliability's sake.

What series are you referring to? Im not familiar with the exact numbers and such for S4 AFM's, but from what Ive seen, n/a's simply wont max out the AFM. S5's are another story all together. I know Im maxing out my AFM, and so is KNONFS and PP13Bnos. Im sure theres a few others too. I dont know about KNONFS, but I have nearly identical mods to PP13Bnos.

Altough I think people put too much thought into the AFM. It doesn't become a restriction until you start making some pretty high HP (or upgrade the turbo). AFM upgrades on NAs would be nearly pointless.
Try this on an S4 - with the engine not even running, remove the air filter box, and then poke a pencil in the AFM. Feel that big, nasty, spring-loaded door? That's called a "restriction". Please notice that the restriction is in place from 0 cfm onward. You really need to experience an NA with a standalone EMS to understand how badly that restriction (as well as the ancient stock EMS processor) hurts performance. Both the AFM and stock EMS need to be ditched IMO.

I agree with your first statement. Since it's Nopi, maybe they anodized it and added some little blue lights and a Type-R sticker?

If a super afc can alter the signal from the afm, then there must be something or somebody out there with the knowledge in electronics that can modify an afm signal by changing something. If someone meets this person let me know!!!!!!
