AFM problem?
Hi all!
Anyways, its been some time since I last asked a question on my new car, so here goes another...
I made that checker lamp as posed here : http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/article...odes/main.html
I pluged it in, and it gave me 2 short blinks on DCC1.
Teamfc3s says:
Code 02 - Air flow meter.
DCC1: SS P ... (2 short lights... long pause ... repeat)
DCC2: does not light
Fail-safe mode: Maintains basic signal at preset level.
So does that mean my air flow meter box is bad?
Do I need to get a new MAP?
Any help would be great!
I want to know if that is the best case, as a new MAP sensor box thing is around 190 + tax at the shops around me.
Each day I get a little closer to this thing working...

You need to go to page 4A-23 in the FSM Fuel System chapter and follow the troubleshooting instructions for that code.
This info is easily found in the Factory Service Manual. If you don't have the FSM, click here and download it in PDF format for free.

Well, according to the FSM, it says that I could have a bad Control Unit or the AFM is bad. Either way I will find out tomorrow. I had no idea that the FSM had that section in it, otherwise I would have not asked. Sorry!
Anyways, I will let you know tomorrow. I got a new MAF sensor, and I will see if the checker light still blinks two short pauses. I can install the MAF without it looking like I did it, and still return it if thats not the problem...
Thanks again!
