afm help

first off i have an 88 rx7 turbo 2 swap with a s5 motor using s4 electronics.

so the past couple of days ive been redoing my engine bay and i had no choice but to extend the wires for the afm. i just finished connecting everything together and started but it will not idle on its own also runs extremely rich. also it is not vacuum leak.

now my question is what are the three black wires on the afm side for? are they all grounds? ive looked into the wiring diagrams and still haven't found out what they were . any help would be appreciated.

and i also have unplugged the afm and actually runs better on the highend (obviously). but when it is plugged in it stutters a lot on the higher rpms.

Double check your grounds, especially the ones around the starter and the one behind the intake manifolds on the firewall side.

I just got my car started after working on it all winter. I had a few vac leaks I missed and a few grounds. It would not idle either and it was due to missing the big vacuum hose that connects to the intake tube, to the BAC.

Was the old engine running before you pulled it?

yes it was running fine. just checked all the grounds, all of them are clean and tight. i dont spot any vacuums leaks, also i dont have any emissions. im probably gonna check the wires for the afm tonight. cause right now the afm wiring seems to be the culprit.
