AEM cold air intake

Sorry for the noob questions, but I've searched and couldn't find the answers, and I'm a bit confused about the different types of intakes, so:

Will the AEM CAI work in a TII?

What will the benefits of a CAI be over the stock intake or a short ram intake?

Would a short ram intake be better than the stock intake?

AEM doesn't make a CAI for the second generation RX-7.

A short "ram" intake is stupid and will result in lost HP. A true fenderwell intake or heatshield (cold air box) would benefit the car much more.

Search for the rest of the information.

But wouldn't the better idea be, having the intake in the middle, or top of the radiator, so it can be exposed to cold air more? I know it doesn't make sense, but hear me out. When you look at the front part of the car, you can see the radiator, but by having the intake either on top of the radiator, or on the side of it, or in the middle, you'll clearly be able to see it, along with the radiator. I've seen it on the 8.

It's more of a science than anything else. You have to think about how to keep the air cool as it goes to the engine. If you want to upgrade your intake, go cold, or go home. The stock airbox is alot better than a short ram or anything unshielded for that matter.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm going to try a cold air box and I'll decide from there if I want to run a tube through the chassis to get cold air.
