AE wiper switch- can I rebuild myself?

Well I want to try to fix that dang thing. Do you think a person can fix the problem without having to buy a new one or having it sent off?

I do have a good electronic/electrical background. Just thought I would ask for some info before I end up destroying it.

Thanks peoples

all you have to do is desolder the relays for the front and rear and soldering in new ones.

if u can solder and desolder then u can fix it.

"Icemark" does it all the time. You can purchase one from him, or repair yours.

Yeah, I have rebuilt ones available as well as I am working on online instructions (unlike some of the current online instructions that suggest you bust up your switch) on my website if you want to try yourself. I can also rebuild your's for you. If you decide to buy a rebuilt one from me, and then send your old one back I will refund $10 back to you for it working or not.

Note, that if you do want to try and repair it yourself it does require some soldering and unsoldering skills and the ability to work on PC boards. I also have the relays you will need in stock (with no minumum order amount- unlike all the other online sellers) again if you want to try and rebuild it yourself.
