advice on bypassing heater core please

I am going to by pass my hc because coolant is leaking into my driver and pass. compartment. Is it best to use a copper pipe and cove with a hose? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

just block off the water lines at the radiator and block..

go to any autoparts store buy a couple feet of heater hose. and run it from the feed on the engine back into the return line.
