advice about power

I am taking my engin apart and doing the intake by about 30% and how much should i port the exhaust? i have ported and pollished my TB and now i have a cat back single tube exhaust. I am getting 5th and 6th port rounded sleeves and i was wondering what else i should do while it is apart?

i heard porting the exhaust hits your low end power kinda hard, im about to take my motor out and port, so it would be nice if some peeps could post opinions, (anyone have this done?)
dude you should take your butterfly flaps off, if you didnt already, and while you have some space to work in maybe put your car on a diet, clean some of that stuff out of your engine bay thats not neccisary, thats my plans at least
