adjusting 'vert top

Any tricks to adjusting the 'vert top mechanism to fit properly? My top came from another car (everything but the motors) and one latch hits first (ie, one side hits the windshield first). Also, one latch is nice and tight the other is pretty loose. Do/can I adjust the latch on the windshield or something on the top?

Yes, I've looked at the 88 FSM and it wasn't any help.

I have not had this problem but it sounds like you don't have the motors matched up. I used to deal with these issues when setting sunroofs. Pull the motors off and try to reset them so they will be insyc. There is some play in the gearing to. I notice it when ever I put my top up or down. It sort of drops a bit once it passes a certainpoint in its travel.
