Adjusting MOMO steering wheel?

Hi -- Anybody have experience adjusting a MOMO/Mazda steering wheel on a 1987 RX-7? I like how it looks, and with the longer adapter it's in a good position -- not in front of the gauges, but the steering is very stiff.
Any solutions?
Thanks,
DeanC

Your steering should not me affected when you swap Steering Wheels. You obviously slide the wheel all the way down flush In b'n the gears, right?

What do you mean very stiff?

If you have a manual rack and went down to a 330mm Momo wheel, it will take a little more effort to turn at lower speeds. I have a manual rack too but I'm probably going to go with a 350mm wheel.

Thanks. I went to a 340 mm wheel, but I think I had the wrong spacer as the wheel rubbed against the dash. It's OK now with the longer spacer.

I had a 15mm spacer put on and it is better now, but it still acts like it has a damper on it. For example when I turn left arount a corner, the steering will continue going left until you bring it back to center. The stock steering wheel always was self centering so something has to be rubbing or too tight. Any body got any ideas what could be causing this?

Does your turn signals cancel?
If not, you could be crushing the steering position sensor ring.
