Adjusting idle after warm up

So my car idle at 500 when I start it and I'm cool with that. But once I drive it and park the next trip it's idling at 2000+ now I know I messed up all the TB screws a while ago. Which one do I adjust for the latter? And which way do I screw it? Does every one else have to take off there intercooler everytine? Maybe I should build a test tube that by passes it he intercooler just for adjustments..

Sounds like the throttle or cruise control cable is getting caught up for some reason.

I'm kind of eliminating that I idea because every morning or when completely cold it always idles at 500. If it was the CC or throttle cable I would think it would happen once and a while while cold.

Let me guess... the thermowax is removed and so is the BAC valve?

I don't think the thermowax has been removed. Is there an adjustment on that? The BAC has been.

When the engine is idling at a rather high rpm what happens to the idle if you were to press upward on the front throttle linkage.

If I press the gas peddle it revs or accelerates just fine. It just comes back down to 2000 rpms after.

What happens when you physically press upwards on the front throttle linkage when the engine is idling at a high rpm?

Im not sure I can reach the actual linkage with the intercooler in place. But I'll try when I get home.
