adjusting front calipers
I just posted on the 4 piston calipers im rebuilding, and since i was already on the thought process of my brakes.....
My front brakes are rubbing against the rotors. i mean, you can hear the high pitched sound when you turn the rotor/wheel by hand. The left side is only a year old, and the right side isnt sticking ive confirmed. What else would make the pads sit on the rotor and how would i go about adjusting the tension (if possible)
The FSM is has such a damn big brake section, i looked through it, but i must have missed something.

The pads will ride slightly on the rotor. The only retraction after pedal released is the slight wobble of the rotors which keep pads slightly away. On front wheel drive/4 wheel drive vehicles, the pads are actually riding on the rotors because of no rotor deflection. That is why you'll see front/4 wheel drive vehicles with a lot of brake dust on the front wheels. They also are more prone to rotor warping/failure because of the constant heat.
Sounds normal, no adjustment necessary as long as all pistons move easily in their respective bores.
