Adjustable Shock Options (front)

I was just curious what type of adjustable shocks are out there, their price, and performance for the FC....

Thanks, Laterz, Andrew

KYB AGX 4-way adjustable for front, 8-way for rear.
I have these and like them. I only do everyday driving though.
They're pretty popular I think. Just over $400 for a whole set.

tokiko illuminas, there a little more expensive than the agx's. 5 way front, 8 way back (i think) from what ive heard, the agx's on their hardest setting is harder than the illuminas on there highest setting and the lowest setting on the agx's are softer than the illuminas. cons about the agx- harder to adjust, adjust **** on the side of the shock body, not designed to be lowered more than 1.5"s and they arent as beefy as the illuminas. Illuminas have the adjusters on top of the shock for easier accessability. there are many opinions of this board, perhaps try doing a search on past threads for more detailed opinions. -alex

Koni's are also available. They're a bit more expensive than the Tokicos but they're nice.

AGX's adjust on top for the front struts. Rear shocks hav a dial **** that you adjust down by the wheel hub.

I have the AGX's and think for the price they are very good. For the street they are great. If you are a hardcore racer that sees lots of track time then get the Koni's.

Best for the money is the AGX's for the fronts, hands down.
Cheaper than the Tokico's with wider range of adjustability.
Koni's (yellows) are cheaper, but are a royal pain in the *** to install up fronts.
