Adjustable Expansion Valve problems
OK this year I had to bite the bullet and replace the ac compressor .Of course a new r134/r12 compatible expansion valve was replaced along with the drier . the expansion valve said some adjustment may be required . I charged the system with the low side about 40lb and the high side runs about 225lb the problem is the vent temp only gets in the mid 60's do i need to adjust the valve in or out to increase cooling . I also pulled 30ib of vacuum for over a hour .
