Adding a Bonez High Flow Cat to my RB System - please help

Ive got the RB system for my n/a vert that consists of the downpipe to presilencer to catback set-up.

now, I need to get the car back to be emissions compliant and I want to do this for the cheapest ammount of cash. What are my options?

Can I purchase one of the Bonez High Flow Cats from Rotary Performance and simply swap out the RB Presilencer with the Bonez for the emissions test and then swap again once I get it to pass??

When these RB systems are installed is the stock air pump usually just blocked off or completely removed? what other things will need to be done to get this planned integration to work?

thanks im a bit lost and need this car to pass soon.

I had to pass emissions a few months ago.

The TII RB downpipe is shorter so it'll be around 3inchesshort if you bolt the stock cat up to it. That way your catback won't connect.

The cheapest thing I did was borrow a friends cat(stupid me threw away my old one) and then had an exhaust shop weld me up a small 3 inch extension adapter. it looked kind of like this

That way it would fill in the gap and I could bolt it right in.

The downpipe wouldn't dictate the need of an airpump but the presilencer or cat would.

I don't know what you guys need for emissions but this is what I needed.
ACV (I removed the inner vacuum solenoid/plunger to just pump 24/7 to the cat)
Airpump(connects to the ACV)
CAT(then the pickup tube on it)

That's pretty much it for me. I also did some fictitious vacuum routings to make it look like the acv worked like stock. They usually don't like to see capped or open vacuum nipples. It will make them start to check more closely.

You don't really need an EGR because they can't visually see it.
A cat/Airpump and ACV directing air to the pump got me through easily.

thanks

digi7.......

anyone else have input on this issue?

i have all my old exhaust parts hanging around.
what would be cheapest and easiest.
Im also considering putting the bonez in place(assuming it can be intedrated with the RB system I have and just leaving it in and selling the RB Presilencer. (depends on performance hindering)

I ordered a 2nd set of flanges from Racing Beat, and plan to replace their pre-silencer with a cheap Magnaflow catalytic converter. I've already passed with flying colors using this setup on my other HKS exhaust system, and the cat holds up for 30K+ miles. Essentially an exhaust shop uses some stock diamater piping and welds the Racing Beat flanges, piping, and cat together. Works nicely.
