adding 3rd fuel rail to 87 TII ?

Hey guys

i got this idea.
I have spare fuel rails and some 460's fuel injectors, i`m planning bigger fuel pump etc..
Would make sense to install additional fuel rail with 2x460's (which would be shoot together with secondaries) everything controlled by Haltech E6K ?
By fuel calculator is should be good for 360hp/flywheel, fuel pump would be 400hp able.

I could use stock NA fuel rail to hold those NA injectors, all injectors should be same impedance (87TII 550's and 87 NA 460's)

Just need to know if its possible to make fit somewhere on TII intake (i don`t need to use stock top mount intercooler...)

I would like to go this way instead of getting expensive 1600's injectors since i have all parts to do that in hand already....

what do u think?

I wish I knew. I wanted to just put direct fit 850s(for a 3rd gen) in my TII and thought I could use a 3rd gen fuel rail but wasn't sure how. Someone has to know.

I’ve seen additional injector bosses welded into the secondary runners several times. I'll try to find a photo. If you’re going to run it all with a Haltech it should be sweet when properly tuned.
Dunno about you fuel calculator though. By my calculations, at 80% max duty cycle 4x550cc/min injectors are good for ~295fwhp and 2x460cc/min is an additional ~125hp, giving you ~420fwhp.

Just get bigger injectors that add up to the amount of fuel that you want.

i used rx7.com fuel calculator and it gave me 4x550 + 2x460 at 80% = 359.7

it looks ok for me...
