add coolant light, and lots of smoke on startup...

The add coolant buzzer started going on and off randomly the other day (have plenty of coolant), and now whenever I start my car (even if it still warm) I get a large cloud of smoke. When i shut it off i can hear something gurgling, and my coolant overflow bottle fills up. Does this mean I need a rebuild, and if it does whats the cheapest way to get my car running correctly again?

is it going to hurt anything if i keep driving it, assuming i never let the temp gauge get too high? also, does the fix in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=55656 mess things up for when i finally do rebuild it?

Your coolant seals are shot, only cure is a rebuild.

Driving the car in this condition is of course not good for the engine, but it's already dead so you might as well drive it anyway...

The "magical fix" DOES work in some cases. Might as well try it...not like your enigne is going to get any deader...

If you consider an engine rebuild, PM me.

But yeah, it sounds like your coolant seals are gone - friend's base model did that 2 weeks ago... and he's getting his rebuilt now...

anyone think this is my problem? About everytime i start my car, my buzzer goes off. Sometimes my add coolant light come on. They all go off after my engine has warmed up. Think im low? Also when ever i take my car out of gear when im coming to a stop. The rpm drops below and threatens to die.

Your problem is most likely due to a bad or sticking BAC valve, and an alternator that is about to die...or maybe just a loose connection between alternator and battery. But definitly check that BAC valve.
