add coolant light confusion
ok i just bought my 89 convertable 3 days ago....it has 98000 miles on it.....great condition....i know a lot about cars and a bit about rotary....today i was driving and the add coolant light came on with and annoying buzz....i know overheating is death to rotary so i pulled off to the side of the road and checked coolant levels...to my suprise the resovoir was full to the top and the coolant was cold so i was like hmmm...how about the radiator it was cold and full of coolant and pressure.....hasnt overheated and the engine temp is fine and at 1/2 way....any clue anyone?

very likely there is air in the system, try to let the car run without the cap on (after it's cooled down obviously) and fill it up while it's running, this helps get the air out.
