add coolant light

add coolant light

89 gtu-s. my add coolant light came on today so i added some coolant. but the coolant light still stays on, sometimes goes off but it comes back on.

bleed coolant properly, if its still going off the connector for the sensor could be undone or the sensor itself may be bad. instructions on testing it are in the fsm.

The warning is for low coolant in the radiator, so if you added coolant to the overflow bottle it won't help.

+1.... or the sensor... if the rad is full then that tells you it would be the sensor

Bleed the system. Make sure the sensor is good (it's just a conductor, I believe) and make sure the wire going to it is totally intact.
