Adapter for AFM

Heres my question!
Im going to build my own custom cold airbox with a cone filter. I am looking for the adapter that you can buy for the AFM in order to put on the filter i have seen it on ebay but i am looking for just the adapter not a filter(allready have filter). Is there anyplace where i can get this? I tried kr2d or whatever but there site must be down? Is it easier to fabricate myself... minus the problem of finding a welder!! All input will help thanks!!!

I've seen them made out of abs piping "caps" just cut a square in the end to go over the AFM. might need some longer screws? you can fit much bigger filters this way too.

Don't do this, it'll flow like ****. A sharp edged entry causes a lot of turbulence, that's why you put bell mouths on carbs for example. I made one for my Cosmo to go from the Ø75 neck of my K&N filter to the 50x50mm AFM inlet, all stainless steel, flowed really well. But unless you can draw up square-to-round transitions, cut and fold sheetmetal, and weld it all together, I'd just but the HKS adaptor from K2RD. If there site's down, ring them.

What kind of fabbing did you have to do to get this to work?

You may not have K2RD's new web address:
http://www.k2rd.com/Online_Catalog/FC3S/FC3S-index.htm

You can also get the adapter plate from these two sources, but I think that you will need to order from the catalog rather than online.
