ad coolant buzzer wont go off.

it seems that myt low coolant buzzer wont shut off. i drive spiritedly for a bit and shut off the car. and after some houres i started it up. the buzzer came on. so i said to myself... ok, ill just fill er up.

when i took the cap off, i noticed it was at an ok level, but when i squeezed the hose, air came out. i also had the car runing with the cap off and it seems to flow out, not shoot or bubble out or anything.

also i noticed there is allot of rubber sludge in there. if i have to flush the coolant, will this work in the attampt to get the damn buzzer to shut up? cus i think it bodged up the sensor. and the water in there is a nice greene color, but under close inspection, its dirty. should i just clean and replace the thermoustat, and the cap, and fluch and clean everything else and hope that i dont have a blown coolant seal cus thats none of the symptomes.

Try flushing the coolant, and looking for leaks. And then up on refilling, start the car with the cap off and let it idle to get all the air out, then top it off and close it. You should be able to rent a coolant pressure tester from a local auto parts store and then pressurize your coolant system and look for leaks.

cus i notice nothing leaks. i mean nothing. and when i let the car idle, the coolant just simply flows out. it boggles my mind.

how hard is it to take the radiator out and flush the bastard and flush the rest of the coolant system. cant i just run the car with the cap off and just jam my water hose un there and let the old out and the new in? that how i did it in school. it woked pretty well.

also presurising the system will be cool. i can rig something up myself.also, i wasnt driving when this happened.

try just checking you coolant level sensor..
mine was on it's way out wasn was doing the same thing..
it's probably the wire solderd to the top coming off.. just turn the car on and move it around.. see if the coolant level light comes on and off as your doing that..

Try this to remove air pockets.

1. Fill and replace fill cap
2. Squeeze upper radiator hose a couple of times
3. Remove fill cap
4. Fill and replace fill cap
4. Repeat 2, 3 & 4 till level is full

Do you have coolant leaks where you park ?
Coolant leaks are hard to find in front of the fan.

If its fine while you driving and only has a problem when you start it back up after it cools down you may need a new radiator cap. Is your upper radiator hose collapsing (under vacuum) when the car is cooled off?

Sounds like your radiator is getting clogged- the reason you're overflowing with the rad cap off is because the rad passages can't pass the coolant coming out of the t-stat housing fast enough. You're probably filling up the overflow tank just a bit, right?

check for leaks....more than likely you'll want to as GZ91Rx7, I had to fix his long enough to trade it in. Long story short, it could be the coolant jackets leaking.
