aight guys...i have a s5 90 rx7 non turbo gxl. I've taken outs the six port actuators, taken the sleeves out. used block off plates, block off the acv. air pump is gone too. At this point...i'm at putting the lower intake manifold back on.
here's some questions. what else that's easy can i take off? also does anyone have a actual pics of their engine with all the vac lines capped or rerouted. cuz i have no idea what to cap off. i want to replace that metal spider...but i don't knw where to route what. and i don't want to f up.
Do i have to gut all my cats out now?
Will my idle be affected if i do these mods? if so, how can i adjust it to hold strong?

Did you take the EGR valve off?

 

no egr's on S5s.

does anyone truly know if there is a egr or not? also anyone know about the vacuum lines i need to cap or any diagrams? please. links would be great. i searched but can't see anything for s5's non turbo

 

Scott is probably right, he has an S5 and I don't. I just figured it had one.

 

S5s don't have EGR.

Also, put your 6 port stuff back on. Preferably with Pineapple racing sleeves. The airflow through the ports is terrible without the sleeves, and you will loose a lot of low end without a properly functioning port system.

Mazda sort of installed these things for a reason.

 

hey i hear alot obout a pineapple thing and i wonder what it is , and i wana know how to tell if you engine is 6 port , i have 4 cast iron intake tubes going into black , does that mean its 4 port ? cause its an 90 s5 gxl

 

Well, if you've heard a lot about it and want to know what they are, try searching.

All '86-'92 NA 13Bs are 6 port.

13B turbos are 4 port.
